Use of chitosan to increase the production of volatile organic compounds of the banana plant of the genus Musa (Uso del quitosano para incrementar la produccion de compuestos orgánicos volátiles de la planta platanera del género Musa). Methodology to modify through the use of chitosan, a natural biopolymer, the production of VOCs from banana plants. This method activates the metabolism of VOCs that defend the plant against various stresses, and that promote its growth, which is why it is potentially useful in agriculture, replacing chemical fertilizers and toxic phytosanitary products. This methodology is, therefore, capable of being exploited industrially and commercially.
