T-SENTINEL security modules, i.e. RAO and RDCS, included the development of novel algorithms and corresponding IT solutions related to coordinated security assessment functions performed by regional security coordinators (RSCs) and transmission system operators (TSOs). The developed T-SENTINEL software solution for RDCS represents the first fully integrated solution for RDCS suitable to be deployed in both SEE and other more advanced European regions (such as CORE) in line with ACER Decision on the Common methodology for redispatching and countertrading cost sharing. The performed demonstrations showed that deployment of T-SENTINEL software solution can bring notable improvements in the current Coordinated Security Analysis practice in the SEE region with the introduction of (1) more flexible redispatching treatment, (2) possibility to perform co-optimization between costly and non-costly remedial actions and (3) fair redistribution of redispatching costs.T-SENTINEL reliability module (RMA module) included the development of innovative methods and corresponding IT solutions related to the capacity calculation performed by RSCs and TSOs (hybrid solution between Flow-based (Flow Reliability Margin – FRM) and transaction-based (Transmission Reliability Margin – TRM) calculation principles). The performed demonstrations showed that deployment of RMA module can improve the reliability margins calculation, with more accurate assessment of these values can lead to higher cross border energy exchange and consequently increase of social economic welfare.
