The Pop-Machina Social Collaboration Platform (SCP) aims to achieve collaborative production by enabling makers to connect and communicate with each other and share knowledge, offering a wide variety of features, from acting as a social media for makers to providing tools that assist makers in their ventures, e.g. making reservations to a makerspace (booking system), creating and managing their inventory of items, selling their items in the Marketplace hosted in the platform etc.A handbook for this platform has also been created following a challenge-solution-lesson learnt approach, presenting the challenges faced and obstacles to overcome when designing and implementing such a platform, as well as the lessons learnt and possible solutions that relative stakeholders can use in similar future attempts.
