Smart sensing and monitoring system at WT level: Mobile platform solution (drone) for monitoring Corrosion inside WT

Result description

The solution is able to move a corrosion monitoring system to any requested location with a 10 cm accuracy inside the mast of a wind turbine to do measurements on the structure using a specific sensor. The result of the measurement is sent to a database for further processing after a successful measurement.

Currently we are working on improvements for more autonomous control of the system and collaborating with companies to fine tune this solution to a wider range of requirements. We have already demonstrated the system in a relevant environment. Currently, we are working towards TRL8 and using individual components of the system for demonstrations in an operational environment.
