Result description
A flexible and compact Tandem Electrochemical Reactor and a Test Bench developed by Hysytech at TRL5 level, to operate under a different range of conditions, both satisfying requirements set by the TERRA project, and being adapted to also other electrocatalytic reactions for third-party customers. Its flexible nature allows the screening of a large number of other potentially attractive reactions. Hysytech considers the cell design as a separated activity from the reaction design. The unit might offer an edge in the electrochemical R&D, given its operational flexibility and compact design. It has been designed for continuous operation, it can operate at high P&T, it is fully automized with a real-time monitoring.

The Cell has been developed to fit several reactions and severe pressure&temperature design values. The flexibility is important for a fast adapting to new application. The concept of the cell is proper to be easily scaled up and applied to new working conditions.
The test bench is flexible and reliable as well. Its concept has been developed to fit different electochemical applications.
