SensoGraph is a method for sensory positioning based on the opinions of a group of untrained tasters and/or consumers, processed by a software using geometric techniques rather than statistics. Our method encodes the relative positions between the points using proximity graphs to identify the similarities that each taster has perceived among the different products offered. Finally, computational geometry techniques are used to fuse in one, all the mental images perceived by all the tasters.
While statistical techniques usually require specific knowledge for correct use, SensoGraph is based on easily understandable geometric concepts, so it can be used by anyone with basic education, without the need for experience or training in the use of statistical techniques. In addition, the characteristics of the method make it possible, without more tool than a simple smartphone, to capture data and process it in a real-time easy manner.

R&D, Technology and Innovation aspects
The software has been succesfully used both in academia, leading to several papers, and industry, being used by food companies at a national level in Spain.
The next steps should include extending the use of the software to companies, in europe or worldwide. It is particularly interesting the possibility of providing SMEs in developing countries with access to basic sensory analysis.
The software can be used in multiple markets in exactly the same way. English and Spanish versions are available, and other languages can be added on demand.
Our result adds value to the skateholders by helping them to take into account the opinion of their consumers and customers.
