Result description
SECURED Innohub is a privacy-preserving platform that enables secure health data collaboration and AI development without exposing sensitive patient information. It integrates key technologies such as synthetic data generation (for MRI, X-ray, mammography, and cardiotocography), data anonymisation and re-identification risk assessment (DANS2.0 & DRAS), federated learning, and secure multi-party computation. The platform also includes a semantic knowledge graph for intelligent data linkage and a marketplace for sharing datasets, models, and knowledge assets. Advanced tools such as Private Synthetic Data Generation and US4MRI further support specialised clinical and research applications.
What makes SECURED Innohub unique is its ability to combine technical, legal, and ethical safeguards into practical, user-friendly workflows. By making it publicly available, the project aims to accelerate trustworthy, cross-border health data innovation. It targets hospitals, research organisations, healthcare SMEs, data scientists, and public stakeholders seeking secure, compliant, and scalable AI solutions.

R&D, Technology and Innovation aspects
SECURED Innohub is at TRL 6–7, validated in four EU hospitals. Investment is sought to reach TRL 7 and support industrialisation, cloud scaling, certification, onboarding, and commercial operations. Additional funding will enable module expansion and EHDS integration. We target private investors, funding bodies, and strategic partners for market uptake
Yes, SECURED Innohub is designed to be scalable, as its architecture allows for: i) Cloud-based deployment as compute resources can expand elastically to handle increasing numbers of users, datasets, and complex PET workflows like SMPC or federated learning; ii) Modular tools as individual components (e.g., Synthetic Data Generators, DANS2.0, FL-Tools, SemKG, US4MRI) can be added or upgraded without disrupting the platform; iii) Tiered bundles as we offer Freemium, Professional, and Enterprise tiers support growth from small research groups to large hospitals or national infrastructures; iv) Integration with European data infrastructures as we plan to connect with EHDS and national health data hubs in the future to ensure expansion across multiple institutions and borders.
Yes, SECURED Innohub is replicable. Its modular, standards-based architecture, combined with clear documentation, APIs, and configurable workflows, allows other institutions, such as hospitals, research centers, or SMEs, to adopt and deploy the platform in different settings. Freemium access and training materials further facilitate replication across diverse health data environments while maintaining GDPR-compliant, privacy-preserving operations
Yes, SECURED Innohub and its business model are designed for long-term sustainability. The platform leverages a tiered subscription model (Freemium, Professional, Enterprise), low marginal costs for new users, modular PET tools, and recurring revenues from advanced services and marketplace transactions. Combined with partnerships, ongoing training, and alignment with European data regulations, this ensures financial, operational, and regulatory sustainability over time.
