Scalability

The simulator does not require significant computation resources and can easily deployed and scaled to higher numbers of actors.

Replicability

The simulator is based on a mathematical framework, so results can be replicated accurately. The simulator has been experimentally verified with actual QKD hardware.

Sustainability

The simulator reduces the need for QKD hardware before testing the various scenarios that QKD will be used for; thus, ensuring that high-cost equipment is manufactured (environmental sustainability) and purchased (economic sustainability) only if necessary.
