Result description

The SWINOSTICS device is a portable device, capable of simultaneously detecting multiple targeted viruses in swine samples. Samples are usually oral fluids, even though other types of liquid samples can also be used. The analysis takes less than 30 minutes. It is based on bio-photonics technology (biosensors and photonic intergated circuits).

Current stage description

The proprotype is currently being tested with real-world samples. Four prototype replicas are available and are being tested in different locations around Europe. Next setp (after completion of the funded project) would be a large-scale demo-validation.
