The “Modelling and Analysis of Water Supply Systems (MSWSS)” on-line service integrates the analysis of toxins in drinking-water supply networks with water distribution networks simulation (EPANET). The MSWSS service allows water infrastructure operators and researchers to analyse hazardous events (e.g. toxics propagation within a pipe system) and may be used in risk management and risk mitigation planning for water utilities. Its integration with the EOSC computing infrastructure and data sharing services enables more complex modelling of water supply systems thereby increasing the number of scenarios that can be analysed.

- Use of research Infrastructure
- Collaboration
The MSWSS service is targeted for researchers and experts in the field of modelling and simulation of water supply systems as well as the operators of water supply network infrastructures. We look for scientists and experts in design, modelling and simulation of water supply systems who can benefit from the EOSC advanced computing services to help them to simulate more complex systems and scenarios.

R&D, Technology and Innovation aspects
The MSWSS service is running in production and it is being tested by experts on water supply system modelling and simulation. Based on their requirements the service is being enhanced with additional tools and features. The evolution of the service will be driven by the needs of new users and it will be enhanced by new features of the Galaxy system developed by the community of Galaxy developers and by the EuroScienceGateway project.
MSWSS service is based on open source software and the deployment recipes are available on github.
IISAS is a cloud services provider hosting both the MSWSS service and its computational back-end, thus it can operate the service after the end of the project with institutional funding. If the number of users will increase we will seek external funding sources.
