Result description
The Label BioHero Mobile App is a lifestyle application linked to the Mission BioHero Game and informing about bio-based products and alternatives. To this end, it contains a database of EU bio-based products with information for users interested in these topics.
A unique feature of the application is the presence of a label scanner that recognizes labels photographed in the real world by users’ mobile devices. The user can scan (eco-)logos, labels and EU certification schemes and the app provides information on the sustainable performance of the scanned bio-based/bio-degradable product, drawn from the application’s database. The (eco-)labels can be scanned or entered manually into the search field.
Specifically, the app focuses on non-food, non-energy bio-based products, such as packaging made from bio-based plastics and textiles made from organic cotton. As an additional bonus, for every new scanned label, users will receive an extra 600 Happy Points in our BioHero Mission Game.
