Result description
Offering a concept similar to the Function-as-a-Service (FaaS) in the Cloud, HPCWaaS is a service-oriented methodology that helps designers and developers manage complex scientific workflows. The methodology supports scientists and professionals in simplifying all workflow’s lifecycle steps: design, deployment, and execution. The paradigm leverages the eFlows4HPC software stack to facilitate the reusability of complex workflows in federated HPC infrastructures.

We are looking for means (organisms and funds) to both expand the use of this result in distinct use cases and to ensure it will evolve according to new needs and technologies.

HPCWaaS is a new result produced in the project. Its sustainability will be based on reusing the results from previous projects for technology transfer in application-driven projects and the development and integration of new features in technology-oriented or new projects with end-users. Currently is being exploited in the DT-GEO project.
