RI-URBANS is demonstrating the European added value of the use of the novel metrics and tools for better assessment of air quality (AQ) and AQ-health links. These novel metrics nano- (or ultrafine-) particles, offline and online PM chemical speciation, Black Carbon (BC), ammonia (NH3), volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and 3D measurements. RIURBANS develops Service Tools (STs) for their accurate source contributions using interoperable advanced instrumentation implemented by AQ monitoring networks. These guidelines report on the methods to be used, based on the ACTRIS experience and the knowhow of RI-URBANS. These can be downloaded openly in doc M3 in https://riurbans.eu/work-package-1/#milestones-wp1 for near real time measurements of ultrafine particles, and D1 in https://riurbans.eu/work-package-1/#deliverables-wp1 for the different STs
