GeoFencing app, integrated in 100% open source IoT platform

Result description

Geo-fences from the users’ mobile app and other variable conditions are used to set conditions in a management dashboard, which trigger a push notification with a configurable message and link. The link connects users to surveys, which are created in the management dashboard and integrated in the city website and app. Results can be tracked live by the respective project managers or communication department of the city.

The solution is part of a generic 100% open source IoT Platform solution developed by OpenRemote, and during the UNaLab project already picked up by other cities, e.g., Nottingham (UK), Stuttgart (DE) and Arnhem (NL), as well as several Device makers and System Integrators in Sweden, Finland, Germany, France and The Netherlands.

Support with professional services (development, hosting, SLAs) towards Device makers, System Integrators and Governments. All code is open source (AGPLv3), published and documented on GitHub

Current stage description

Continuous development as integral part of 100% open source iot platform with already released product towards cities as well as Device makers. Cities such as Arnhem, Amsterdam (NL), Mönchengladbach, Oberhausen, Olpe (DE), Nottingham, TfL (UK) have already adopted the platform.

Further development and deployment as 100% open source on GitHub (currently 700 stars), including the developed mobile app, including documentation for users and developers. Support with professional services (development, hosting, SLAs) towards OEMs, System Integrators and Governments.
