KBP is the digital backbone for risk identification in TRIQUETRA: an electronic repository plus authoring/approval environment with advanced search, delivered through a self-service portal and interlinked with a WebGIS platform. It hosts climate, geological, historical and site-specific data (including risks and mitigation measures) stored in a cloud-deployed geospatial database (e.g., PostgreSQL/PostGIS). Content is curated and made discoverable with traceability (who approved what, and when), enabling reusable evidence for decision-making. The platform is designed to integrate EU and international data/services (e.g., Copernicus and in-situ observations) and aligns with OGC/INSPIRE standards for interoperability. KBP feeds downstream TRIQUETRA components and supports transparent, evidence-based heritage protection while reducing duplication of effort across stakeholders.

We specifically need / are looking for

Pilot organisations (museums, municipalities, heritage sites), civil protection/climate adaptation stakeholders, and data providers to connect authoritative datasets/services (e.g., Copernicus, in-situ) and validate workflows. We also seek integrators/IT vendors to embed KER1 via APIs/OGC services and align with INSPIRE.

Replicability

Yes — cloud deployment, reusable data model, and OGC/INSPIRE-aligned interfaces support replication across many sites/regions and easy integration with EU/international data services.

Sustainability

KBP can be sustained as a service platform for heritage authorities, site managers and solution providers. Long-term sustainability can combine: (a) subscription/SaaS access tiers (basic portal + advanced authoring/analytics + support), (b) institutional licensing for national/regional heritage bodies, (c) integration and customization services via partners (APIs/OGC services, data onboarding, INSPIRE alignment), and (d) maintenance contracts covering hosting, security, and content governance. Using mature open standards and common geospatial components (e.g., PostGIS, OGC services) lowers vendor lock-in and operating costs, supporting continued adoption and scaling across Europe.
