Result description
The research results include concept, system architecture and a software framework for controlling of humanoid and non-humanoid (mobile) robots. The system architecture design concept is required in order to obtain robot hardware compatibility to the software components. The software consists of intuitive and mobile friendly web-based interface and robot specific control function set. It enables the user to create robot scenarios and performances through an embedded script editor. Features also include script and multimedia file management, multimedia playback, speech syntheses control, robot telemetry monitoring and robot settings control.
The system was successfully tested on various ROS based mobile robots – BeBot, MaxiBot and ANRI2. Adaptation and tests with humanoid robots are currently ongoing.
