Both the methodology and the results of the CBA are aimed at local authorities, adaptation planners, environmental economists, and project designers who seek practical methods to evaluate and justify EBA investments. It offers actionable insights into the costs and benefits of nature-based solutions and provides a flexible, replicable methodology that can be applied in diverse local contexts.

Each CBA case study in SCORE (Oarsoaldea, Vilanova i la Geltrú, Piran, and Sligo) assessed the monetary value of EBA measures using context-specific data and the methodological framework. The results demonstrate the viability and value of nature-based solutions in different local adaptation strategies, providing both economic and non-monetary benefits.

The CBA service is a useful tool to determine the costs and benefits of implementing ecosystem-based adaptation, and can be adjusted to the different needs and perspectives of users.

A CBA analysis following this methodology is able to be adapted to the changing needs of different communities, depending on their specific contexts. As such, it can be replicated across Europe.
