Virtual Vehicle Research GmbH (VIF) has demonstrated the use of authenticated localization system based on EGNSS in the context of automated driving as part of the ESRIUM project. The team has demonstrated that said service can be provided for automated driving systems using the Galileo OSNMA solution, which, unlike typical GNSS systems, provides authenticated location with reduced chances of spoofing. In the scope of demonstration, our team has done several test runs with and without the OSNMA solution to analyse its performance in the context of trajectory following for automated driving systems.

R&D, Technology and Innovation aspects
We are currently testing the overall solution in different environments to assess its performance in the context of automated driving systems. In this way our research can be disseminated to the relevant audiances to motivate further research and standardization activites in the future.
A supporting EGNSS receiver can be used to replicate the results in conjunction with any autonomous platform.
