UPAT’s innovation introduces an adaptive rendering framework that optimizes XR visual experiences by dynamically calibrating illumination, shadows, occlusion, and geometry compression.

Using real-world geolocation and weather data, the system estimates real-time lighting conditions to achieve physically consistent illumination. User-specific visual preferences and accessibility parameters are integrated to ensure personalized and comfortable experiences.

Additionally, UPAT developed geometry-based saliency compression, reducing computational overhead while maintaining perceptual realism. This enables XR applications to perform efficiently on resource-constrained devices such as AR headsets and mobile platforms.
