• Synergistic collaboration among leading EU IR detector providers.
• Improved situational awareness and decision-making capabilities for EU armed forces.

Scope

• The proposals must advance the development of next generation ROICs for IR detectors.
• Incorporate prototyping and testing activities for both cooled and uncooled IR detector architectures.
• Address advanced silicon technology and compatibility with 3D stacking architectures.
• Ensure the development meets EU supply chain requirements.
• Focus on the integration of detection circuits for various wavelengths on ROIC platforms.
• Cover activities including design, system prototyping, testing, and qualification.
• Explore 3D stacking technologies to enhance performance and reduce dependency on non-EU suppliers.
• Align with STEP objectives as defined in STEP Regulation (EU) 2024/795.
• Enhance the interoperability and security of supply in the European Defence Technological and Industrial Base (EDTIB).
