ProFIT Brandenburg supports companies and research institutions in implementing innovative projects within the state of Brandenburg. It provides financial assistance for various phases of the innovation process, including:

• Industrial research

• Experimental development

• Feasibility studies

• Market preparation

• Market introduction

Legal Requirements

Eligible applicants are:

• For grants: Legally independent, profit-oriented companies as well as research institutions with a registered office or place of business in Brandenburg

• For loans: Legally independent, profit-oriented companies with a registered office or place of business in Brandenburg

Companies that do not meet the EU definition of a small or medium-sized enterprise (SME) are only eligible for funding in cooperation with SMEs or research institutions.
Research institutions are only eligible for funding as part of a collaborative project that includes at least one company from Brandenburg or Berlin.

The funding is subject to the following conditions:

• The proposed project must be carried out in Brandenburg.

• The expected project results must provide a plausible basis for increasing company-related and/or regional value creation and employment.

• Funding will only be provided if the project cannot be realized without support or could only be realized with significant delay.

• Measures related to market preparation and market introduction are funded as de minimis aid.

• Funding from federal, EU, or other Brandenburg-specific programs must be used with priority.

• You must ensure full financing of the entire project.
