Description

The "Meet Investors Travel Grants" call supports the participation of enterprises' representatives in meetings with investors, organized abroad, with the aim of attracting investment for their enterprise. The submission of requests to the IRIS Portal is done after pre-approval.

Scope of the Call

Funding covers the travel costs of one (1) company representative to attend in-person meetings with investors abroad (e.g., venture capital funds, angel investors, private investors, crowdfunding platforms). The purpose is to secure investment for the company.

Expected Outcome

• Support innovative Cypriot enterprises in connecting with potential investors.
• Facilitate the attraction of private capital for business growth.
• Strengthen the international visibility and competitiveness of Cypriot innovative businesses.

Funding Amount

• Total budget available: €20,000
• Maximum funding per participation:
  • €1,000 for travel within Europe
  • €2,000 for travel outside Europe
• Funding is provided under the De Minimis regulation.

Submission Deadlines

• Final deadline: 15 December 2025, 13:00 (Cyprus time) or until the budget is exhausted.
• Applications must be submitted in two stages:
  • Stage 1 (Pre-approval): Submit form via Microsoft Forms at least 3 weeks before the meeting date.
  • Stage 2 (Reimbursement request): Submit within 1 month after the meeting (and before the final deadline), via the IRIS Portal.

Submission Conditions

• Only one person per company can be funded per meeting.
• Meetings must take place after the announcement date of the call.
• Companies and their representatives must be registered in the IRIS Portal.
• Proof of investor status must be attached (fund registration, fund website, angel network membership, or evidence of prior investments).
• Eligible travel costs: economy return airfare, €30 airport transfer allowance in Cyprus, daily subsistence allowance (based on Ministry of Finance rates, max. 5 days).
• Only Cyprus-based businesses are eligible to apply.
• Meetings with investors must take place abroad (outside Cyprus).

• Innovative Cypriot enterprises seeking private investment.
• Businesses must be economically active in areas controlled by the Republic of Cyprus.
• Large Enterprises; Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)
