Result description
The MycoKey app predicts the amounts of mycotoxins in wheat (DON) and grain maize (Aflatoxin B1 and Fumonisin) based on local weather data and predictive models. It also provides information on mycotoxins and general strategies how to mitigate mycotoxin risks. The app is free of charge and user data are private. Growers can calculate the predicted amount of mycotoxins in their crops with local weather information and relevant agronomic measures (ploughing) or plant resistance. Grain collectors, governmental planners and policy makers have access to public databases including satellite data, and can calculate mycotoxin risks based on weather data and land use (if publicly available).

R&D, Technology and Innovation aspects
As the funding for MycoKey is project based, a post project MycoKey app maintenance plan was prepared to white-label or co-share the app with grower associations, growers advisors or grain collectors.
The app is web-hosted and can scale to the number of users
The app was tested by the scientists that generated the scientific prediction model
