Result description
With constant attacks on telecom infrastructure and management systems, every network hardware OEM using the same commodity security frameworks is exploring new solutions to harden and secure their products and customer data at the edge. The adoption of always-on architectures, coupled with edge compute and IoT devices has changed the landscape in which telecom operate. Traditional tools are not equipped to detect, defend, and remediate attacks at scale, in acceptable time frame, and at an appropriate cost. Guardtime MIDA solution allows to build common trust fabric from the edge, to consumption of the data, and at the management plane to make decisions about this data. RESISTO project have allowed to develop MIDA software solution for 2 use cases. „Protection of cloud storage services” is supporting manufacturing plant with robots. „Disruption of major sporting event by combined physical & cyber-attack” is using MIDA for signing configurations, whitelists and verification.
RESISTO project have allowed to develop Guardtime MIDA software solution for 2 use cases. “Protection of cloud storage services” is supporting manufacturing plant with robots. “Disruption of major sporting event by combined physical & cyber-attack by a terrorist organization” use case is using Guardtime MIDA technology for configurations and whitelists signing and verification. Additionaly is one partner implemented the solution for port telecom infrastructure protection.

We are looking for partners that can expand the Guardtime MIDA technology use in telecom sector. There is agreement with large international telecom operator and we look for partners with good insight and execution abilities in sales and integration. Guardtime is technology provider and IPR owner, not integrator or sales organization.

Guardtime is technology provider and IPR owner, not integrator or sales organization. We have resources and organization to support implementation projects. Each new installation have improved the documentation (manuals) quality and improved time/resource consumption per project. Each implementation takes 4-8 weeks, sales and training sessions added. Guardtime can support 10+ implementations in parallel manner.
We see that telecom infrastructure will use more software components in the future period. 5G development is good example, where flexibility of the network will be expanded, new partners share the infrastructure and more software components are used. Our solution allows to control the digital infrastructure and prevent unneeded investments into metal and building materials. Socially there can be more trust between partners, providers and customers. Telecom operators have more flexibility to change the networks and find the best economic solutions for consumers, providing more services.
