Result description
Proposals for simplifying the planning of facades and roofs with EPoGs, proposals for colour selection.
Information and guidelines for the optimisation of facades and roofs with EPoGs in their implementation.
Information on the cost implications for a cost-effective implementation.
EPoGs are to be seen as multifunctional elements for buildings.
Their implementation must be made easier and existing barriers among the various players in the value chain must be reduced in order to promote the development of these technologies.
Several important aspects should be considered, namely
– Architecture and aesthetics of EPoGs
– Durability, ease of planning and installation
– Panel life: replacement and maintenance
– Optimisation of the cost price
Addressing target audiences and expressing needs
- Collaboration
Prototypes, experience, references, skills and knowledge. Cooperation between players to pool knowledge, integrate skills and even vertically integrate the value chain. Sale of planning and consulting services
- Public or private funding institutions
- Research and Technology Organisations
- Academia/ Universities
R&D, Technology and Innovation aspects
Demonstration sites will test the integration of EPoGs on facade and roofing elements. These tests will require analysis and adjustments in order to capitalise on these initial trials.
The information can be replicable by means of gathering the know-how and use it for educational/training purposes. This information contained in the KER will be aplicable for the BIPV Capacity Building programme.
