Result description
A new method was developed and tested for shower-trays and bathtubs production by the adaptation of existing technology of air transportation of granules of GF (scraps from NOVELLINI’ shower-trays production) and a spray-up moulding. The final method and technology have been developed and tested in the framework of Use-case 6.1.
Addressing target audiences and expressing needs
- We are sharing our knowledge
With this experimental production equipment, we are able to make small sheets to produce sanitary furniture embedding recycled Glass Fiber (rGF) using a new methodology developed by NOVELLINI named «Sandwich process» for the delivery of 3 reinforcement layers as follows: 1.Polyester Resin + Fiberglass 2.Polyester Resin + rGF 3.Polyester Resin + Fiberglass.
- Others/ No specific audience
R&D, Technology and Innovation aspects
Intention to exploit the results by making a new production line or modifying the current production in order to produce “Sanitary furniture embedding recycled GFs” with new spray-up moulding. No intention to patent or license to 3rd parties.
