This pioneering technology will be scaled up under INSPIREE, a project funded by CINEA within the LIFE program. When fully operational, the INSPIREE plant will treat up to 2,000 tons of PMs each year, resulting in the recovery of more than 500 tons of REE compounds. With New-RE and INSPIREE, we are paving the way for a more sustainable, resource-efficient future.

In seven environmental impact categories, recycled REOs from the New-RE recycling process have a lower footprint than China’s commercial primary production routes. In terms of other environmental impact categories, such as climate change and particulate matter formation, the New-RE recycling process outperforms the impactful primary production route from Kaolin clay.
