One of the main objectives of TAKE-OFF was to selectively produce SAF Carbon range (C8 to C16), for C and energy efficiency, resulting in overall process cost reduction and competitiveness on the e-SAF market. Through the optimized oligomerization catalyst (heterogenous Ni based catalyst plus polymeric resin) this objective was achieved. During the tests the catalyst prove to be very stable (continuous operation for one month) and the activity of the catalyst prove to be very promising showing 3 fold improvement comparing to other conventional catalysts.

R&D, Technology and Innovation aspects
The TAKE-OFF project advanced jet fuel synthesis technology from TRL 3 to 4. Next step – advance to TRL 5-6, testing at higher scale. Next steps will also involve the research on an oligomerization catalyst which are not susceptible to CO and water.
