The Robot Cabin is an innovative, technology-ready cruise cabin environment demonstrating the evolution of ship accommodations toward autonomy and smart systems. Developed by Mr. Theodoros Tsikis, Naval Architect at TSIKIS Shipyard, in collaboration with Dr. Stamatina Th. Rassia of the Le.D.R.A. Group, it provides a realistic space for testing, simulation, demonstration, and application. By replicating authentic shipboard layouts, systems, materials, and operational constraints, the cabin enables high-fidelity evaluation of safety procedures, enhancing maritime safety onboard cruise vessels. Its modular, plug-and-play design supports integration of new technologies and smart solutions, strengthening operational preparedness.

R&D, Technology and Innovation aspects
The Robot Cabin is at TRL 6–8, as it has been demonstrated in a relevant operational environment (TRL 6–7) and validated through successful deployment and testing.
The Robot Cabin is inherently scalable due to its modular, plug-and-play design, allowing seamless integration of new systems and expansion to multiple ship layouts. Its technology-ready architecture supports broader deployment and adaptation across the cruise and maritime sectors and even beyond.
The Robot Cabin is replicable, as its standardized modular design and technology-ready systems allow the platform to be reproduced across different ships and maritime environments.
Building on the enduring and continuously evolving needs of the maritime industry, reflecting developments that extend to multiple other sectors of engineering and human activity.
