Description

This call invites research & innovation projects driven by industrial needs to develop new solutions in digital infrastructure and communication. Projects are intended to strengthen Sweden’s shared capacity to create and utilise modern digital infrastructure and communication in industry and business.

The call for proposals is part of the Advanced digitalisationprogram, an industry-driven programme to promote Sweden's and Swedish industry's ability to create future digital solutions. The projects funded will contribute to Sweden's shared ability to create and utilize digitalisation opportunities. Read more about the program on the Advanced Digitization website.

Funding Amount

• Per project: Applicants can apply for between SEK 2 million and SEK 15 million in grant funding.
• Grant may correspond to a maximum of 50% of the project’s eligible costs.

Submission Deadlines

• Final application deadline: 13 January 2026, at 14:00 CET.
• Project should start by: 30 April 2026.
• Project must be completed by: 30 April 2029.
• Project durations: 12 to 36 months.

Submission Conditions

• The project must be a collaboration (consortium) of at least two participants, of which at least one is a company (industrial actor).
• Applicant must be a Swedish legal entity; costs must be incurred in Sweden.
• The call prioritises industrial-needs-driven projects (i.e., need-owner involvement).
• State-aid rules apply (for companies carrying out economic activity; since the grant covers up to 50% of costs).
• Eligible cost types and other formal eligibility are governed by Vinnova’s general terms.

Eligible Types of Businesses

• Swedish companies (industrial actors).
• Other organisations may participate (e.g., academia, research institutes, public actors), although at least one company must be in the consortium.
