To date, the community owned solutions manual has supported facilitators in galvanising communities to restore critical infrastructure, reintroducing traditional livelihood practices, and in strengthening cultural activities in Amazonian Indigenous communities where despondency, depression, alcoholism and learned helplessness had previously become entrenched. We have established a network of 60 (and growing) experienced community facilitators throughout South America that are able to deploy photography and participatory video to identify, record, share and implement community owned solutions in their localities.
