Result description
The engine bracket parts for the automotive end-user have been manufactured on several L-PBF systems such as RENISHAW AM250HT (single laser), EOS M290 (single laser) and EOS M300-4 (multi laser). The mechanical properties analyzed by end-user have reached the predefined requirements. Furthermore, KPIs regarding energy & material consumption, production rate and CO2 emission were analyzed by a new sensor system provided by consortium partner IRIS and compared by using the above mentioned L-PBF systems.
