We discovered novel flavonol-like compounds bearing heteroaromatic rings and biphenyl rings as potent antiparasitic . The most promising compounds has a broad spectrum towards L. infantum, L. donovani, L. major, T. brucei and T. cruzi. It shows a safe in vivo effect and it is active on resistant parasites from antimonial and miltefosine resistant infections.
