The key results incorporates advanced aggregation algorithms, demand response services, EC stakeholder’s user interfaces, and distributed digital technologies like blockchain, and connections to multiple data sources.
It is able to exploit new business models that value small-scale energy assets. This technological platform allows consumers, prosumers, and aggregators to play their respective roles in local energy markets in a level-playing field with other traditional market players, whilst still complying with physical and regulatory barriers and responding in an aggregated way to upstream market requests.
The EC management platform can also use a decentralized blockchain-based architecture when needed to enable a transparent ecosystem of assets and market participants, where all involved parties can trust each other.
It includes automated mechanisms that simplify the end user’s interactions with the energy markets (if they want so) or allow them to have a very proactive role in the local energy market.
