DigiTeRRI interlinked a forward-looking methodology, namely roadmapping, with the RRI approach, which highlights a stakeholder engagement approach. Stakeholders of the innovation ecosystem in each region co-created their futures. Based on the common DigiTeRRI approach each territory developed its roadmap on transition into a digitalized territory in the frame of DigiTeRRI EU Project. The roadmapping process applied supported the intensive collaboration of stakeholders inside the region and across the involveld territories. Moreover, it helped monitoring the impact of the project work and provided a common understanding of the evolution of the DigTeRRI project.
The DigiTeRRI guidelines present the procedure step by step and underline the learnings regarding the stakeholder engagement, the roadmapping process, the implementation of the defined actions, and the support of all steps with visuals.

The DigiTeRRI roadmapping is based on a classical roadmap process by integrating the Responsible Research and Innovation (RRI) approach. The process consists of five phase: the stocktaking and mapping, visioning, working out the roadmap (with goals, objectives, gaps), the development of the action plan, and implementation.

The DigiTeRRI roadmapping process developed actions for achieving the defined goals. Twelve actions in each region could already be implemented during the project period. The DigiTeRRI integrated RRI approach will be applied to further regions in Sweden, France, and Austria.
The DigiTeRRI framework and approach can be applied to any regional development. It can be replicated with no limit.
Most important, the DigiTeRRI concept can be applied to other regions. The DigiTeRRI project implemented twelve actions in each of the three DigiTeRRI regions. These actions were developed based on the goals and objectives co-created in DigiTeRRI together with the affected stakeholders. Hence, the DigiTeRRI integrated RRI approach can be considered as a sustainable measure and can be implemented in different settings in the future.
