Result description
The GNSS Receiver developed by RFSAT in the AgriBIT project is a general purpose EU-sourced and economically priced high precision positioning devices exceeding 1cm in static RTK-assisted mode and better than 1.2m in autonomous mode. With SBAS accuracy exceeding 20cm and priced at prototype phase at less than 500 euros, it is currently one of the best value for money devices of this sort on global markets. The fully functioned devices measures only 2x3x4cm and weighs less than 150g. With Wi-Fi communication and excluding embedded LCD display, its form factor is as small as 2x2x4cm and less than 100g. The device has been applied to Smart Agricultural use cases in AgriBIT project, though it has been designed with general purpose applications in mind.

R&D, Technology and Innovation aspects
The GNSS Receiver is currently at TRL=8 – prototype at pre-market maturity. It requires further integration:
- – reducing pre-product form factor by 25% by integrating PCBs together
- – changing current 3D printed casing to satisfy MIL-STD-810 durability requirements
- – further energy consumption reduction to achieve 24hrs operation on a 4500mAh battery
