Funding for Knowledge Transfer and Information Measures in Thuringia

The state of Thuringia, with support from the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), offers financial assistance for initiatives aimed at enhancing the professional, entrepreneurial, and personal skills of owners and employees in the agriculture and forestry sectors. This funding is designed to support the organization and execution of educational courses, workshops, practical demonstrations, and information dissemination activities that are not part of standard secondary or higher education curricula. Additionally, it supports short-term farm exchanges and visits to promote knowledge transfer and improve the competitiveness of rural areas.

Expected Outcome

The program aims to:

  • Enhance the knowledge and skills of individuals in the agriculture and forestry sectors, leading to increased productivity and sustainability.

  • Promote the adoption of innovative practices and technologies through hands-on demonstrations and information sharing.

  • Strengthen collaboration and knowledge exchange between enterprises, contributing to the overall development and competitiveness of rural areas in Thuringia.

Scope

Eligible projects include:

  • Professional Training and Skill Acquisition (BEQ): Development and delivery of specialized training courses, workshops, and seminars tailored to the needs of the agriculture and forestry sectors, focusing on innovative practices and technologies.

  • Demonstration Activities and Information Measures (DEIN): Implementation of practical demonstrations and dissemination of information to showcase advanced agricultural and forestry techniques, aiming to encourage their adoption among practitioners.

  • Farm Exchanges and Visits (BBM): Facilitation of short-term exchanges and visits between agricultural and forestry enterprises to foster experiential learning and the sharing of best practices.
