Driving Urban Transition Co-Funded Partnership

The "Driving Urban Transition Co-Funded Partnership" aims to continue supporting the European initiative to assist cities in their sustainability and climate neutrality transitions. Building upon previous co-funded calls in 2022 and 2023, this partnership seeks to enhance multi-level cooperation and alignment on research and innovation (R&I) for sustainable urban development across cities, regions, and countries. It capitalizes on new collaboration opportunities offered by Horizon Europe, the "Climate Neutral and Smart Cities" Mission, and the Global Urban Transitions Mission under Mission Innovation to broaden expertise, capacities, and geographical coverage.

The partnership intends to fund additional activities and potentially include new partners to fill gaps in knowledge, innovation, technology, and skills. It aims to explore synergies with platforms like NetZeroCities Mission, CapaCITIES networks, and the CRAFT platform to ensure coherence and complementarity of activities. Furthermore, it seeks to enhance collaboration with other European partnerships such as Clean Energy Transitions (CET), Built4People, and Biodiversa+ to leverage knowledge and investment possibilities.

This call invites proposals to continue the envisioned partnership, ensuring a seamless continuation of its strategy, objectives, and actions. Applicants should describe plans to scale up synergies, explore interfaces with public procurement and investment programs, and include additional activities that justify their added value compared to ongoing actions.
